About the Library

History: Imagine Elementary School's main building was built in 1927. The library is located in a space that was originally a large classroom. The library has occupied this classroom since 1954.

Librarian: Mr. Baldwin has been the school teacher-librarian since 2011.

Library Philosophy: Our library's philosophy is to help all students meet their full academic potential by providing them access and assistance with physical and digital resources. The library aims to be a place that fosters curiosity, learning and a love of reading in all students.

Library Features: The library enables students to access thousands of picture books, fiction books, non-fiction books and magazines. Students can access online resources and databases by using one of the five desktop computers or fifteen Ipads that are available in the library. With permission students can also use the printer to print their projects or research. The tables and chairs are flexible and can be moved in order to accommodate different sized groups. Teachers and students are able to use the digital projector to showcase their work and provide learning opportunities.
